Abstract: The Materials Genome initiative (MGI) brings a new insight and opportunity for the discovery and design of advanced materials,the method accelerates the entire procedure from the discovery to the application of advanced materials. The value of the Materials Genome Project lies not only in innovating the material R & D model, accelerating the process and reducing the cost, but also in the development of material science, technology and engineering. Therefore, based on the abundant rare and precious metals resources in Yunnan Province, the good research and industry foundation, and the urgent demand for the development of rare and precious metals in Yunnan province, a general control platform for the materials genome initiative of rare and precious metals materials is needed. The control platform controls all specialized sub-platforms, such as high-throughput computational platforms, materials database platforms and high-throughput experimental platforms. The control platform aims to develop deep application technology integrating large data of various kinds of materials such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, to realize the change from research and development of rare and precious metals to "data-driven research and development". Big data analysis techniques used in rare and precious metal materials research tries to find the reliable Processing-Structure-Property-Performance models. It will accelerate the discovery and design of materilas, reduce the cost and improve the profitability ratios of related companies. It will also play an important part in the development of rare and precious metals industry in Yunnan Province. In this presentation, we will introduce the framework, the construction object and important modules of the platform which will integrate some technologies such as multi-source heterogeneous data fusion, data interface of high-throughput computational platforms and visualization of multi-scale materials data in the platform.
